President Signs Honest Leadership Act...

President Bush signed the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act of 2007, which in pertinent part, proposes increasing the post-government employment cooling off period from 1-year to 2-years.  See e.g., http://frwebgate.access.gpo.gov/cgi-bin/getdoc.cgi?dbname=110_cong_bills&docid=f:s1enr.txt.pdf

See WH press release at http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2007/09/20070914-5.html.  President wants S.1 amended to be clearer.

See OGE site at: http://www.usoge.gov/pages/daeograms/2007daeolist.html for summary of other implications for the Executive Branch.

Update 9/17: Substituted permanent GPO URL for S.1, for temporary link from Thomas.gov. Also, here's a pinpoint link to OGE article mentioned: http://www.usoge.gov/pages/daeograms/dgr_files/2007/do07026.txt
